Position Summary:
PASA is seeking a Engineer, Industrial.  This position is responsible for planning the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible to study functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine functions and
  • responsibilities or workers and work units and to identify areas of duplication.
  • Designs manufacturing and process layouts for optimized production flow.
  • Designs production work instructions to document required methods for the manufacturing and handling products.
  • Establishes work measurement programs and analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
  • Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
  • Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
  • Confers and partners with management and engineering staff at all levels to implement plans and recommendations.
  • Develops management systems for cost analysis and financial planning.
  • Participates in product development teams.
  • Responsible to lead and direct the daily activities of technical staff members at all levels as required.
  • Assists in the development and management of departmental budgets and new business proposal activities.
  • Interprets and complies with Company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Prepares reports, charts, graphs, and other statistical information.
  • Will initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or equivalent related degree with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience ; five (5) years of related experience.    
  • Master's degree in engineering or business highly preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of industrial engineering or related experience required.
  • High volume automotive manufacturings experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated project management experience required.
  • Must be current with new and evolving techniques, technologies and methodologies in lean manufacturing, simulation, electronic data collection, etc.
  • Prior experience leading and directly staff highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with the computer applications appropriate to the position and assignment.
