We are looking for a Manager will be part of the Content Creation & Curation(CCC) product engineering team in San Francisco. CCC team is responsible for all content authoring experience and creation flows on LinkedIn, this includes writing a long form article, sharing a status update with image, article or video and content curation. CCC's mission is to empower our members and editors to create and curate the content that gives LinkedIn users a reason to return to the platform every day. Build the tools and interfaces that allow every professional to share their news, ideas and perspectives, and to start a conversation.
The CCC team is a group of developers who are passionate about Content products and cutting edge mobile and web front end technology. We have a close-knit culture and a strong sense of ownership.
Responsibilities •Manage the performance and career development of a team of 3-10 engineers, and own significant parts of LinkedIn products that require design, architecture, and coding. •Manage teams to scale distributed applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, review code, and deliver with speediness and quality. •Participate with senior management in developing a long-term technology road map. •Be a role model and professional coach for engineers with a strong bias for action and focus on craftsmanship •Prototype and iterate designs in collaboration with other team members, designers and product managers •Provide recommendations to team and partners on best practices, architecture design, methodologies, etc. •Passionate about product design and end-user interaction (UX) and user experience (UI) •Drive daily scrum and sprint planning meetings
Preferred Qualifications •Previous leadership experience with strong execution and organization skills •Previous full stack experience with focus on frontend web and/or mobile •Passionate about developing and up-leveling others, building a good team culture •Have a good product sense, can articulate ideas and influence others •MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline •Expert knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
