We are seeking extraordinary engineering talent to lead Elevate, a leading employee advocacy product, that helps employees increase their social brand. LinkedIn Elevate is powering LinkedIn's Connected Enterprise initiative to empower every employee to leverage the economic graph to be more productive and successful. As a part of our world-class software engineering team, you will be charged with leading the entire engineering team from backend, web, iOS, and Android clients. You will be partnering with product and design to drive the direction of Elevate. The ideal candidate will be excited for the challenge to transform and think critically on many computer science disciplines including product design, UX, usability, building APIs, and user-centric online applications, and 24x7 reliability across Mobile and Web. This position is full-time and based in our San Francisco office.
Responsibilities •Manage the performance and career development of a team of engineers, and own significant parts of LinkedIn products that require design, architecture, and coding •Participate with senior management in developing a long-term technology and product road map •Be a role model and professional coach for engineers with a strong bias for action and focus on craftsmanship •Work with peers across teams to support and leverage a shared technical stack •Manage teams to build delightful UX, make architectural tradeoffs, review code, and deliver with speediness and quality •Develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable user-centric applications that operate 24x7 •Produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
Basic Qualifications •BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience •Experience in software design, development, and UX •Programming experience in iOS, Android, Web and Java.
