Our Mobile Infrastructure team is looking for engineering managers to come build mobile platforms that help our developers build and ship robust mobile applications. Some of our mobile applications include: Flagship, LinkedIn Learning, Slideshare, Job Search, Elevate and Groups. Our goal is to develop the best mobile platform and frameworks for building the best mobile applications in highly competitive markets. We are always working with cutting edge technologies and dealing with aggressive resource and performance constraints.
The ideal candidate would have several years of solid hands experience on mobile technologies, with a focus on building scalable Infrastructure components. The candidate should be excited for the challenge to transform and think critically on many computer science disciplines including product design, usability, building APIs and user-centric online applications, business logic, scaling performance, and 24x7 reliability. This position is full-time and based in our Sunnyvale office.
Manage the performance and career development of a team of 5-10 engineers, and own significant parts of LinkedIn Infrastructure that require architecture and coding.
Manage teams to scale distributed applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, review code, and deliver with speediness and quality.
Participate with senior management in developing a long-term technology road map. Be a role model and professional coach for engineers with a strong bias for action and focus on craftsmanship
Prototype and iterate designs in collaboration with other team members, designers and product managers
Provide recommendations to team and partners on best practices, architecture design, methodologies, etc.
Passionate about product design and end-user interaction (UX) and user experience (UI) Drive daily scrum and sprint planning meetings
