As part of our world-class software engineering team, you will be building the next generations search platform. Our search platform is core to LinkedIn. Our 400M+ members use our search product to find people, jobs, companies, groups and other professional content. Our search platform needs to scale to the ever-growing member base. It needs to provide world-class relevance features. It needs to be fault tolerance, reliable, and also easy to operate and development. Our search system is a real time updating system and provides deeply personalized search results based on each member's identity and relationships.
As the manager of the People Search Platform team, you will be responsible to create and enhance a leverageable member search platform to power all member search use cases at LinkedIn. People search platform includes LinkedIn people search, recruiter search, and sales navigator product. These encompass the highest volume as well the highest revenue generating products here at LinkedIn. You will build and maintained a great relationship with our relevance and application partners. You will use that connection to identify highest ROI projects for the team and LinkedIn.
Lead the People Search Platform Team Build out the new team and establish great relationships with our relevance and application partners. Manage the performance and career development of a small team of engineers Interface with the broader Search Infrastructure team to help Develop a long-term technology road map.
BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or 10+ years of related practical experience. 2+ years experience in software engineering management
Experience in web scale search systems Understand machine learning and relevance systems Experience in multi tier high performing, low latency distributed systems Thorough knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing technologies Experience with industry, open-source projects and/or academic research in large-data, parallel and distributed systems Successful track record of managing small teams of engineers and project management skills.
