Responsibilities: Based on the successful candidate's experience and educational background, he/she, after a brief orientation, will be assigned an independent project(s). These projects range from cost reductions to solution of quality issues to analysis of business practices. With limited guidance from engineer mentors, the candidate will be expected to research the issue, develop a solution, and implement that solution. At the end of the project, the intern should expect to present their findings, recommendations, and results to peers and management. Qualifications: •Must be an engineering student currently enrolled in a technical degree program. •Typical majors include: Industrial engineering, physics, manufacturing engineering, engineering science, engineering management, quality & manufacturing management, software engineering, and electrical engineering •Must have very strong communication and interpersonal skills. •Must be fluent with MS Office software. •Experience with statistics is a plus.
