Job Overview:
This role requires a Bachelors or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.


Working in the fields of actuators and enclosures, this Business Segment Manager will be responsible for promoting and selling products and services to businesses (OEM's, System Partners, Distribution Partners, End Users) to obtains sales/account order, growth, and retention.


B. Essential Functions of the Job

Frequent and continuous travel (up to 60%) throughout assigned territory to call on current, past, and prospective customers to solicit opportunities, expand market, and increase brand recognition

Investigate and report on market segment trends and develop strategies to act upon trends to increase market presence

Compile lists of prospective customers and develop into trading customers through targeted development activities
Display and demonstrate product, via sample, catalog, or electronic media, and emphasize saleable features and content
Lead opportunities as owner during appropriate project phases
Liaise with internal sales, engineering, and operations teams to ensure project feasibility and manufacturability
Understanding the market and this industry and being able to show that you have all aspects of engineering, customer facing and manufacturing, and are able to see the bigger picture of how it all connects would be ideal, as well as recommending what next business steps should be is required in order to be successful.



Qualifications:-

Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (Engineering, Manufacturing) preferred
5-10 years' experience in promoting and selling low volume, high customization, products through direct sales
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Ability to persuade customers and prospects of service and product viability


Ability to overcome objections and obstacles to facilitate sales process


Ability to generate and sustain business across varied market and customer profiles
Demonstrated ability to establish and grow territory and brand recognition
Knowledge of multiple sales methodologies to achieve required results
