The Environmental Monitoring Technician is primary responsible for performing Environmental Monitoring and Personnel Monitoring in the manufacturing classified areas. The Environmental Monitoring technician also summarizes the results of all environmental and personnel monitoring in reports. Successful candidates for this position will need to have the ability to consistently perform the site garbing process for entry into the grade A and B classified areas and work in an aseptic manner while in the grade A and B classified areas. Perform Environmental Monitoring within the manufacturing classified areas. Perform Personnel Monitoring on manufacturing colleagues working inside the grade A and B classified manufacturing areas. Write summary reports summarizing personnel and environmental monitoring results highlighting any trends observed. Responsible for incubation of personnel and environmental monitoring samples. Document all activities according to current GMP documentation guidelines. Perform Aseptic gowning training. Update SOPs as needed Qualifications Education: Associates or BA/BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related science preferred. Experience: Minimum experience in a cGMP environment and a minimum of 1 year related experience as an Environmental Monitoring Technician preferred. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to share direction, and data with colleagues across all levels and in a wide range of different work groups including senior leadership and regulatory agencies. Reasoning Ability: Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. Technical: General understanding of cGMP guidelines outlined in CFR. Knowledge and demonstrated ability to apply Pfizer Quality Standards to ensure local practices and procedures reflect these requirements. Independently writes SOPs, technical reports, project plans, etc. Basic understanding of aseptic manufacturing highly desirable.
