Responsible for all administrative needs of the Credentialing Department. 1.Provides general administrative/clerical support; provides overall organizational support. Creates and prepares files for Credentialing Committee. Handles telephone calls as back up for the division and acts as triage to appropriate departments within the company. 2.Establishes and maintains credentialing department filing systems to include files, tickler system and committee and publication binders. 3.Responsible daily for incoming and outgoing mail; collection and distribution of payroll checks to division in a timely manner. Coordinates large mailing projects. 4.Responsible for monthly processing of all expirables (i.e., Medical Board of California, Drug Enforcement Agency, specialty board certifications, and malpractice insurance) to include updating the Credentialing database. 5.Responsible for processing credentialing/re-credentialing applications accurately and promptly in accordance with B T policies and procedures, health plan delegation requirements and NCQA standards. 6.Responsible for accurate input and modifications to the Credentialing database. 7.Prepares materials and files necessary to comply with external audits by payors and/or governmental agencies. Disseminate new/modified professional information to HMOs and to B T departments. 8.Responsible for purchasing supplies, maintaining subscriptions, check requests, faxing, scanning and expense reports for the division.
