What do you get to do in this position?
Sales Specialists/Architects capitalize on in-depth knowledge of customer process and operational requirements within the Data Center Operations market in order to identify and close sales opportunities. This role identifies solutions to customer requirements, and manages the on-going relationship with the customer after those solutions are put in place.
o Promotes and drives sales of SE Facility Operations within the assigned geography and targeted accounts
o Provides subject matter expertise for sales aspects of Facility Operations
o Works with and through SE sales teams to maximize account coverage and increase closure rates
o Identifies client issues/concerns and addresses them with a comprehensive, solution based approach
o Works with clients on long-term business objectives
o Maintains consistent contact with client representatives during contract period to ensure renewal and expansion of existing contract.
o Works with other sales personnel in similar roles to identify future industry and client trends and communicates such to offer management to ensure continued development of leading edge solutions.
o Creates and reports sales funnel and bookings forecast on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and insures required information is appropriately logged into the company CRM system.
o Attends industry trade shows and other events that may be deemed advantageous for promotion of Facility Operations. Presents at these shows as opportunities present themselves.
o Works primarily with client large scale decision makers such as CEO, CIO, CFO, VP Operations, etc.
o 5 years Data Center Management sales and/or operations experience (includes grey and/or white space)
o 10 years' experience in solution sales methodologies
o Ability to work within a matrix sales organization and manage the overall campaign to understand & deliver solutions to meet client requirements
o Ability to penetrate and work successfully at the C suite level
o Demonstrate excellent oral, written and presentation skills
o Ability to present Facility Operations to client personnel at all levels along the decision chain from data center operators to the CEO
o Successful large scale sales track record
o Self-starter with ability to manage multiple sales opportunities simultaneously
o Proven record as a relationship builder
o Willingness to travel 60% of the required work schedule
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1-REQUIRED:
o Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
o Ability to present to large and small audiences
o Demonstrated capability to think strategically, develop creative solutions, and execute in a complete and timely manner.
o Strong problem solving and decision-making skills, with a style that promotes collaboration, consensus and innovation.
o Superior verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
o Excellent time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects
