The Windows and Devices Group (WDG) Design Studios is a team of multidisciplinary designers working to make technology that integrates seamlessly into the human world. Building off the success of Windows 10, our team is growing and looking at new ways to design & build experiences that work across people’s lives. We’re at the forefront of defining the design agenda and design system for Microsoft--and we’re hiring! This role is in the Enterprise Design Studio, leading a design team to explore and define product experiences that focus on the enterprise customer.

As the Enterprise Design lead, you will be responsible for helping create the design vision and delivering end to end enterprise and security experiences for WDG including:
Lead the design execution, experience consolidation, and experience vision for IT Pro facing experiences of Microsoft 365.
This includes:
1. Lead the design of all end to end IT Pro user experiences developed by WDG: Security and Windows Defender ATP, Modern Workplace as a Service (Mwaas), M365 Analytics, Intune, Windows Server, Partner Center, Dev Center.
2. Re-imagine, envision, incubate and launch new M365 ITPro experiences by partnering with Senior leaders in the enterprise and security space and being a catalyst for innovation and new business growth in this area.

We are seeking and exceptional design leader to lead the creative direction, design and execution of a broad portfolio of Enterprise services through customer obsession and employing modern design best practices to evolve the way we create our services. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Research, Content and Engineering teams to envision, prototype, design, define, validate and deliver experiences that are effortless, intuitive and delightful to use and deliver measurable positive impact to our customer’ lives.

The candidate must have a passion for leading and inspiring a team of talented and multi discipline creators, championing, creating energy, and nurturing the designers and culture in the Studio. They must have a clear understanding of each phase of the design process - analysis + framing, information architecture + interaction design, device + industrial design, research + usability, rapid prototyping, visual + motion design, brand integration and content creation.

Detailed responsibilities will include:

•Lead design team with clarity and energy driving successful execution of design across all enterprise & security experiences at Microsoft focusing on IT Pro end user.

•Stimulate the design culture in the broader studio and help us continue to retain and attract diverse design talent

•Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, design, marketing, research) across Microsoft from creative concepting through to final deliverables

•Bring user-driven culture into our product thinking and making, acting as the voice of the customer in all efforts; building and championing inclusive experiences all our customers will love.

•Advocate for the Design vision and ensuring the product direction is aligned with business needs

Qualifications:

•The successful candidate must have experience designing beautiful, engaging and highly functional customer experiences.

•They will have a deep understanding of design systems that are scalable and extensible across multiple platforms.

•The candidate must also be a great creator, collaborator, communicator, coach and mentor.

Minimum requirements include:

•10 years of experience in UX Design

•Strong portfolio of UX focused work for multiple platforms.

•A minimum of a BA/BS degree in Interface Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Communication Design, Architecture

•A portfolio review will be required for all candidate interviews

•Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills

•2 years of experience in managing or leading design teams

•Experience collaborating working cross-orgs to manage, prioritize and lead creative design direction of products and services

•Demonstrated ability to communicate concepts clearly, inspire others across different audiences at all multiple levels of the organization
