*Enterprise Field Technical Services Senior Advisor - Georgetown, TX* Dell’s Data Center Solutions is the leading provider of density-optimized hyper-scale servers for large scale data center environments, such as cloud providers, with an intense focus on performance, energy efficiency, and density. Dell DCS is growing and has an opening for an Enterprise Field Technician. Ideal candidate will have knowledge or ability to learn diagnostics and support of Dell’s PowerEdge servers, as well as additional custom server infrastructure. This role will be on call 24x7 with 2 hour response so must be located within 30 miles of Georgetown, Texas. Field Technicians are responsible for on-site installation, configuration, implementation, integration, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of company and multi-vendor systems solutions, which may include hardware, software and networking products as well as operating systems. * * *Role Responsibilities* - Perform hands-on and in-depth troubleshooting and associated repairs of failed server and storage systems. - Perform thorough documentation of all service activities. - Manage on-site parts locker including inventory control. - Work autonomously in providing on-site technical support to customers. - Work collaboratively in a team environment. - Perform knowledge transfer and product orientation of implemented solutions - Understand and applies principles, concepts, theories, technologies and standards of professional field; develops and applies specialized knowledge within own discipline; and deepens knowledge through exposure to new assignments and continuous learning - Perform advanced troubleshooting techniques to address complex technical issues. - Address escalated technical issues from less experienced team members. - Work autonomously in providing on-site technical support to customers. - Work autonomously in delivering installation services. - Prepare documentation to record and track project status *Requirements* - Undergraduate degree and 6 years, or Graduate degree and 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience - Advanced hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing enterprise- level servers. - Strong customer facing skills, with change management experience. - Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work with little supervision or guidance. - Ability to take ownership and drive issues to resolution. - Exhibit a flexible schedule reacting to customer needs 24x7. - Must be located within 30 miles of Georgetown, TX *Preferences* - Comptia A , Comptia Server , RHCE, LINUX, Windows, CCNA, ITIL certified *Company Description * With more than 100,000 team members globally, we promote an environment that is rooted in the entrepreneurial spirit in which the company was founded.
