Robert Half Technology is looking for an IT Help Desk Support technician to work with a client to serve as the primary point person. We implement and support all our clients' technology, from Windows servers, Active Directory, Exchange Server, firewalls, VPNs, QuickBooks, VoIP phone systems, Macs, PCs and pretty much any other system or technology they can think of or throw at us. If you aren't excited by learning all this technology, this might not be the right place for you! Since we deal with so many different technologies at our clients, you're never going to be an expert at all of them. But, here are some things that are good to know... •Basic Certifications: A+, Network+, ideally some Windows Server 2008 or newer •Server 2003-2012 installation and administration (Active Directory, Exchange, Group Policies etc.) •Business class firewall configuration and maintenance (like SonicWall, Juniper, Cisco, etc.), their layered firewall policies, content filtering and IPSEC VPNs. •Business class WiFi deployments (Ruckus, Aerohive, Cisco etc.) •Desktop side– repaving/imaging, removing malware, troubleshooting issues, etc You also need the ability to communicate professionally and without 'geek speak.' Plus, you'll need your own reliable transportation, pass a all candidates required to undergo background check/all candidates required to undergo drug screening, and be eligible to work here, since we stick to the well-behaved masters.
