IBM is seeking individuals that have an Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Analytics or related degree and who are knowledgeable about business processes in related areas. Computer Technology, Math or Engineering backgrounds with working knowledge in business processes such as accounting, manufacturing, supply chain and human resources or educational class work such as co-ops, projects or internships may also be eligible. Candidates with Oracle, Microsoft or SAP exposure are highly desired.
As an Oracle Technical Specialist you will develop your expertise in Oracle tools and technology to include: Java and Middleware, PL/SQL, People Tools, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Linux. You will help our clients integrate enterprise-wide data for improved performance and efficiency. You will contribute right away to our top-tier clients in collaboration with exceptional people in a dynamic team environment. You will work hand and hand on projects that help our clients integrate strategy, process, technology, and information to increase effectiveness, reduce costs, promote accountability and optimize performance. You will also have an opportunity to build a powerful portfolio of interesting and rewarding experiences.
The Oracle Technical Specialist will be responsible for assisting on engagements, including implementations, upgrades, and extension of existing applications. In addition, you also be responsible for hands-on application development, system administration as well as involvement in designing reports, interfaces and testing.
The IBM Client Innovation Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our Baton Rouge, LA center. However, some travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site (Monday through Friday). The candidate is expected to travel approximately 50% of the time.
