YOUR MISSION:
 
Formulates and implements plans for collecting, tracking, and recording environmental data related to customer finished product environmental evaluations. 
 
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
 
  • Proactively identifies information needed from suppliers, plans and coordinates daily business activity to manage data collections from suppliers. 
  • Proactively identifies and decisively responds, as needed, to insure supplier information is provided in timely fashion.
  • Identifies system limitations and formulates policies and procedures to eliminate errors within the environmental collection system.
  •  Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet department and company objectives.
  • Periodically reviews work activity for conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Reviews environmental data from suppliers for completeness, accuracy, and suitability for department operations.
  • Proactively executes business related tasks as needed.
  • Prepares and implements training plans for suppliers related to data collection system changes by the corporate environmental office. 
  • Communicates specifications and reporting requirements to suppliers verbally or in writing.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists others in solving work problems.
  • Acts as liaison between work groups, sections, or departments and between suppliers and Panasonic for environmental issues.
  • Utilizes effective people and presentation skills to train suppliers and other users in the proper use of the Panasonic reporting systems, IMDS, etc. using video conferencing, web conferencing, phone, and email.
  • Develops and implements training programs for use in supplier training.
  • Utilizes Agile, Glovia, and SAP in developing reports and maintaining databases.
  • Continually develops skills in utilizing all systems and software of Panasonic.
  • Interprets, enforces and complies with Company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Prepares reports, charts, graphs, and other statistical information.
  • Will initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
MUST HAVES:
 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in any of the following: office management, purchasing, customer supplier support or environmental compliance. High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Understanding of basic chemistry and periodic chart preferred.
  • Budget reconciliation experience preferred.
  • Experience with Agile and Glovia (or similar systems) required.
  • Experience with International Materials Data System (IMDS) databases and procedures preferred.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Experience with automotive environmental material management and quality guidelines, specifications and techniques preferred.
  • Experience with management of supplier web databases including registration of suppliers, user id maintenance, and user help desk administration preferred.
  • Familiar with the European Union End of Life Vehicles (ELV) and Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directives preferred.
  • Previous work experience in a cross-cultural, international environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Access and Adobe Acrobat Plus required.
