Our customer is seeking is seeking an enthusiastic Epic Analyst certified in Home Health and Hospice to join their Ambulatory team for a 3 month contract with a high probability to extend. They will support the new development, build, customization, and optimization of their Epic EHR software. This position will implement, administer, support, build, and optimization assigned systems under the minimal guidance of senior members of the team. The position will require a good understanding of Epic modules, ancillary systems, and health system operations. The Ambulatory Certified Epic analyst is responsible for customizing the Epic EHR to meet the specifications needs of what the Office Management, Doctors and Nurses need out of the software. They will meet with the various medical staff, understand the hospital workflow, then build and developing within the Epic software to customize it so that the screens the doctors and nurses are using have all of the functionality they require. They will also be responsible for doing the software upgrades and maintenance of the software while in production. The individual they're looking to bring on will spend their time supporting anything from projects to manning the que supporting break fix and optimization tickets from ServiceNow. Our customer is currently determining how they will specifically utilize the consultant they're bringing on and the individuals skills will dictate a lot of their decision making in terms of how they allocate this consultants times. That being said, candidates must be comfortable working 100% on the ticketing que to 100% on projects or a variation in between. More than likely this person will spend most of their time supporting the ticketing que and assisting with optimization.
Our customer has a laid back environment but they also have a lot of projects to execute against and it is very deadline driven. The leadership within our customer has a lot of their plates so contractors have to be persistent in the right way when trying to communicate, i.e., e-mail and call and text. Consultants will likely be asked to do things outside of their job description as needs on the team or projects change. It's a very fluid environment and things can change on a dime so consultants must be comfortable with this and not get frustrated about 'not being hired to do what they're now asking'.
For consultants who aren't local they would be expected to travel in on Sundays and then work onsite Monday through Thursday with the expectation that they would schedule flights to depart Atlanta at 2:30 to later in the afternoon. Our customer has allowed 50% remote vs. on site work but that isn't a guarantee. Earning a remote schedule is based on performance and the comfort the team and operations has with the individual.
Our customer has a number of projects coming up that this consultant could potentially be supporting; - Converting 25+ practices recently acquired to Epic with an expected go-live date sometime in late Q1 or Q2 of 2017. - An enterprise upgrade of Epic from 2015 to 2016 with an expected to go-live date in Q2 2017. - Converting 6 hospitals (1,500 beds) recently acquired from their respective EHRs to Epic with an expected go-live date in Q1 or Q2 of 2018.
