Position Description
Morgan Stanley is looking for an experienced Business Analyst and Project Manager to help build out the Exotics and Dynamic Index platform. Candidates will be expected to engage with Trading, Strats/Quants, Financial Engineering and Technical leads on various aspects of the system. Focus will be handling large datasets and designing a platform to handle back-testing, scenario analysis and improving performance to build out new custom strategies, candidates will need to be familiar with kdb /q. Working with a global team and various stakeholders, candidates will need to help prioritize work in a high pressure environment and also contribute to the design and architecture of the system with a good understanding of business use-case and requirements.

In addition to the Dynamic Index business, candidates will also help with the broader Exotics platform in New York. Working with a similar group of stakeholders, an understanding of the Exotic Equity Derivatives business with a focus on Structured Notes would be beneficial. With complex workflows for product issuance and as we continue to automate all aspects of the system from pricing to issuance, a deep understanding of the business will enable candidates to consult on strategic decisions

Qualifications
Required Skills
- Experiences in managing front office projects in a high pressure environment
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux environment
- Track record working with the Equity Derivatives business
- Track record working directly with Sales, Trading, Financial Engineering, etc.
- Track record of a hands on approach as a BA/PM with basic kdb /q technical skills
- Track record working with and managing multiple dependencies across systems

Desired Skills
- Knowledge of the Dynamic Index business
- Experience work with Equity Derivatives Risk Management & Analytics systems
- Basic knowledge of Java server side processes
- Basic scripting knowledge, e.g. Python, Perl.
- In depth kdb /q knowledge would also be an advantage
- Experience in testing automation
