We're supporting a rapidly growing business as they search for an entry-level Event Planner in Norwalk, CT. Here is an opportunity to showcase your ability to turn party plans into events. This employee will need a balance of sales, customer service, and project management skills to attract new customers, assist throughout the planning process, and ensure the event is organized as planned. While this is an entry-level sales and client service role, the company offers rapid growth potential for anyone with a strong drive and ability to go above and beyond their goals. This is a great stepping stone for someone looking to direct their career within sales, marketing, or operations. A day in the life of an Event Planner: Your primary focus is to ensure the space is always booked with events You know about every benefit and distinctive properties about the space to showcase to clients as you speak with them and provide tours Phone and email will be your primary communication tool as customers will continuously inquire about the space and how it may accommodate their group You will need to quickly respond to every inquiry so as to not loose a potential client Calendar management and planning every detail of the events are reasons why it is extremely important for this person to be highly attentive to detail and well-organized You will need to have a great understating of the needs of various event coordination from corporate events, fundraisers, and children's parties You will work independently to fill the event calendar and plan events, however you will need to coordinate with operations staff to ensure customer ideas and requests are met What you will need in order to succeed in this role: Bachelor's Degree - ideally in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or Hospitality Prior experience within a customer interfacing role (hospitality, food industry, retail, etc) Ability to work one Saturday each month (typical hours are Monday-Friday 9 am - 5:30 pm) To apply, please forward your resume to casey.sullivan@adeccona.com for immediate consideration.
