Corporate Events Marketing oversees all aspects of Oracle marketing events from concept through project management to execution of external and internal events globally. Corporate Events Marketing works with an array of other organizations within Oracle to define the appropriate marketing message and delivery to ensure effective go-to-market initiatives globally. These include third party and Oracle conferences, seminars, roundtables, briefings, product launches or announcements, and internal incentive events.
Brief Posting Description
The Event Marketing Specialist in the Executive Speakers Bureau will manage the planning and execution of Oracle executive speaking engagements at internal and external events. The Event Marketing Specialist facilitates all arrangements and auxiliary activities around the executive's presence, and acts as the central point of contact for internal constituents and third parties from the initial request of an executive, during the evaluation process, through if approved, project management to execution. Additionally, the specialist will engage in event programs that may include demand generation strategy and execution, roundtables, briefings, executive and influencer programs, launches, Oracle and third party conferences, video and possibly some demos.
Work with public relations and social media teams to broaden awareness and reach of executive speaking engagements.
The ideal candidate for the Event Marketing Specialist role must exhibit a highly professional demeanor, be able to manage across lines of business, cultures and geographies, and able to synthesize complex concepts and net out large amounts of detail into a few key highlights. Communication skills, both verbal and written, must be exemplary. Information technology industry experience and understanding of competitive landscape is critical. Experience in working with senior-level executives is a plus.
Metrics and reporting is vital in this role as well, thus the ideal candidate will have a proven record of diligently tracking metrics and reporting on results. The candidate will be expected to track specific KPIs across our senior level executives and create quarterly reports.
Assist in the development and execution of corporate event marketing programs.
Assists in all aspects of pre-event program needs including but not limited to vendor selection and management, budget development and approvals, event registration and demand generation, venue selection and management (F and B, operations, etc.), event creative concept design and production. Manages all aspects of on-site event execution either directly or through outsourced vendors. Manages all post-event activities including development and execution of follow up plans for event attendees, uploading and tracking leads, wrap-up reports etc. Ensures that programs are executed successfully, efficiently and on budget so that customers experience a high degree of satisfaction in attending the event.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently with some assistance and guidance within defined policies and procedures. 2 years relevant experience. Marketing experience in the IT industry desired. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable. Past experience in marketing, or event production/execution desirable.
