Position Summary

We are searching for an energetic person to work in a team-oriented environment in our catering department. Our catering team handles close to 2,500 events every year. Our events range anywhere from 10 people all the way to 1000 people. The right candidate will enjoy a fast-paced environment that includes catering to our guests in an efficient manner. The position is responsible for multiple tasks that may involve customer interaction and handling food simultaneously.

Major Activities, Key Results, and Deliverables

  • Set up event space as outlined by the catering directors, assistant managers and leads
  • Pre-set tables prior to guest arrival with appropriate utensils, linens, condiments, etc.
  • Restock buffet lines and all other food stations during events
  • Understand and be able to describe the specific food and beverages for any event upon request of the customer
  • Communicate with guests in a poised and professional manner
  • Accommodate all guests while circulating the event area
  • Check in with guests consistently to ensure satisfaction
  • Serve water, coffee, tea, and lemonade to guests upon request
  • Run food from kitchen or warmers with trays or by hand, as needed
  • Complete all side work and daily cleaning tasks
  • Adhere to cleaning duties required at end of shift
  • Remove dishes and glasses from tables and take to kitchen during meals
  • Report all issues in the dining area to restaurant management team
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the service area
  • Attend all mandatory training and meetings
  • Maintain positive and helpful attitude with all guests
  • Maintain professional demeanor and adhere to proper dress policy as defined by the handbook


  • Must be flexible in scheduling and have open weekend availability
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task effectively under fast paced working conditions
  • Ability to maintain neat, professional, and clean appearance and practices
  • Ability to work while standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to adhere to proper food regulation standards and health and safety standards
  • High level of professionalism and passion for the hospitality industry


  • Foodservice Sanitation Certificate as needed
  • High School diploma/GED
