Executive Assistant

Job Location: Cary, NC



We are looking for a dynamic Executive Assistant who will be responsible for enhancing our executive's effectiveness by providing information management support; representing the executive to others. This person provides executive support to a local VP and related staff in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment; the position is within our Enterprise Infrastructure & Architecture division.


  • Conserves executive's time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications
  • Maintains executive's appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel
  • Represents the executive by attending meetings in the executive's absence; speaking for the executive
  • Composes correspondence expressing executive’s direction viewpoint
  • Obtains and gives standard information to callers
  • Coordinates department's administrative activities; may recommend improvements to administrative procedures
  • Maintains documents and records following administrative policies
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned
  • Answers telephone calls, takes messages, schedules appointments, makes travel arrangements, etc.
  • Assembles and collates materials for distribution
  • Office manager, coordinates volunteer events, seating assignments and time tracking


  • 5+ years’ experience supporting key executives in a fast-paced environment
  • Extensive knowledge of PC equipment and software programs including strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook - calendaring/scheduling
  • Preferred (strong mix of the following): Exceptional verbal communication and writing skills, reporting skills, supply management, Microsoft Office Skills (Excel / PowerPoint), organization, time management, presentation skills, equipment maintenance, travel logistics
  • High school diploma or equivalent
