At MetLife, we seek to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our customers and our communities.  This full-time position is responsible for providing a high level of administrative support to the Executive Vice President, Head of Corporate Development - Mergers and Acquisitions. This position requires attention to detail, flexibility and the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task in an environment that requires frequent change.  This individual must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.  The individual is expected to maintain confidentiality and exhibit a high level of discretion and professionalism. Individual needs to be proactive and demonstrate initiative in managing and tracking administrative needs of the group.



  • Provides secretarial support to VP and staff, including typing letters, memoranda and reports using PC programs and software.
  • Organizes and prioritizes incoming mail, maintains file call-up systems and databases.
  • Answers telephone calls, takes messages, schedules appointments, makes travel arrangements, etc.
  • Routes call to appropriate party(s). Obtains and gives standard information to callers.
  • Coordinates department's administrative activities; may recommend improvements to administrative procedures.


  • 5+ year of relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of PC equipment and software programs.
