Adecco is currently staffing for a local client in Battle Creek that is looking for a Machine Maintenance/welder/fabricator Journeyman that can weld, fabricate, and has significant experience with using all manner of shop tools.


Compensation:
Compensation for this position is around $26/hr., but will be commensurate with skill and work history.

JOB SKILLS AND POSITION CRITERIA:
-Thorough knowledge of machine tool operation, i.e. mill, lathe, drill-press, grinder, miscellaneous hand tools.
-Knowledge of measuring tools such as micrometers (inside and outside), dial calipers, different types of indicators and tape measures in both inch and metric.
-Ability to read blueprints and perform tasks such as PMs, pipefitting, fabricating, all types of welding (mig, tig, wire, stick) and, use of oxygen/acetylene torches.
-Be a self-starter, motivated and require minimum supervision.
-Be able to comply with daily documentation required forms and procedures.
-Ability to work from a ladder or platform.
-MUST have Machine Repair Journeyman┬┐s card or equivalent experience. (8000 hours (4 years) ON THE JOB EXPERIENCE) ┬┐ NOT NEGOTIABLE
-Possession of tools and instruments of a 1" U.S. and Metric measurement.

Additional Criteria:
-Physical demands include walking/standing for extended periods of time, expressing or exchanging ideas verbally and in writing and perceiving the nature of sounds by the ear.
-Physical strengths include lifting a maximum of 90 pounds.
-Vision requirements include the ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less.
-
-Ability to work in areas with the following conditions; high noise levels, solvent fumes common in the printing industry and medium heat.

This position is DIRECT HIRE

Shifts:
2nd or 3rd shift ONLY. There are currently NO 1st shift positions available.


Other Requirements:
MUST have stayed at one of your last 3 jobs for at least a full year (for proven longevity)
