Key Responsibilities
This is a Technical Facilities Engineer position. This position is to provide technical leadership in the operations, maintenance, planning, design, reconfiguration, and construction of facilities equipment, systems and buildings.
• Responsible for overseeing the physical maintenance and of the buildings and facilities support
systems to ensure maximum safety and building uptime
• Manage 3rd party facilities maintenance service provider to ensure proper maintenance of
mechanical, electrical, fire life safety, exhaust, waste water treatment, process piping, and
controls systems
• Monitor 3rd party facilities maintenance provider's performance and report Key Performance
Indicators (KPIs)
• Respond to business interruptions or internal customer escalations
• Perform problem solving, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
• Ensure that systems operate to design specifications
• Evaluate facilities system capacities and capabilities
• Identify and conceptually scope safety, compliance, capacity, redundancy, and cost savings
projects
• Obtain funding and manage facilities projects per scope, schedule & budget
• Review and approve facility systems, fit-up and tool hook-up designs
• Review operation, maintenance, trouble shooting, project commissioning & acceptance related
documents for facilities systems; recommend and implement improvements
• Coordinate with 3rd party hazardous waste management service provider to ensure safe handling
and disposal of gas, liquid and solid effluents
• Coordinate with multiple groups (planning, construction, safety, maintenance service provider,
building owners, management, etc.) to minimize facility or system downtime and business
interruptions

Qualifications:
Education
• Bachelor of Science, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree
• Masters of Science, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree, highly preferred

Additional Qualifications
• Excellent at multi-tasking, able to respond promptly to issues, and effectively and quickly restore facilities systems
• 15 years working experience as a facilities engineer in semiconductor manufacturing (wafer fab) facilities
• Experience and expertise with design and operation of industrial waste water treatment systems
• Working knowledge of building management system (BMS), PLC based controls systems, and
networking equipment
• Experience with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, AutoCAD, SCADA (e.g. GE Cimplicity), and CMMS (e.g.IBM Maximo)
• Knowledge of local Fire, Building, and Environmental codes
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of 8D and DMAIC
• Ability to work effectively as an individual with minimal direction, and as part of a larger multifunctional team
• Professional Engineer preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Foreign language capability a plus
