Responsibilities:
  • Trouble shoot equipment failures, determine root cause
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and facility
  • Performs regular preventative maintenance and requisitions new parts and equipment
  • Other duties assigned by Supervisor
  • Respond to breakdowns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with of new equipment installation.
  • Evaluate, maintain and modify all equipment to ensure or improve safety and production efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate and complete departmental records.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, construction drawings, machine manuals.
  • Ensure equipment adheres to all applicable safety requirements.
  • Ability to use various tools and equipment.
  • Capable of accurately using measuring instruments.
  • Basic ability to work with a windows based computer system.
  • Perform daily boiler rounds and facility checks.



Qualifications:
Required Experience and Skills:
  • City of Omaha 3rd grade boiler lic.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years experience with Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems
  • Full and comprehensive workign knowledge in the following areas: Mechanical drives, Gears, Hydraulic and pneumatic units, Machine set-up, proper equipment alignment, proper bearing handling,
  • Ability to multitask and work as a team.
  • Must be able to read and or understand written and verbal policy, instruction and directions in English.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • 2 years experience with Boilers, HVAC, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic systems.
  • Full and comprehensive workign knowledge in the following areas: Mechanical drives, Gears, Hydraulic and pneumatic units, Machine set-up, proper equipment alignment, proper bearing handling,
  • Ability to multitask and work as a team.
  • Must be able to read and or understand written and verbal policy, instruction and directions in English.
  • Water Operator's license
