Maintains safe work habits and actions in all aspects of the daily task; evaluates reactive work for safety issues, plans projects so that safety is key, and reviews preventative work for any unforeseen items that may present safety hurdles.
Utilizes software to track, assign, and prioritize reactive, planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance work and building management system.
Orders supplies from various vendors and assists in managing spare parts inventories.
Works cross-functionally to make repairs within one's capability.
Performs work in a wide variety of conditions, such as extreme heat, cold, and moisture.
Maintains housekeeping and safety in work areas.
Up keep on exterior yard, including pit and sump clean/repair
Minor plumbing & restroom repairs along with dock drain repair/clean
Communicates effectively and timely with customers
Ceiling and tile replacement/repair, including light fixture repair/replacement
Operates and maintains vehicle equipment such as fork truck, golf carts, etc.
Minor floor repair & spill pickup, including carpet and floor tile repair/installation
Wall repair including drywall installation, patching, wall hanging and painting typically under 10'
Interior Crib, Exterior Fencing Repair/Install
Interior/Exterior Door minor repairs i.e. closures, caulking
Computer skills i.e. Maximo, Lotus Notes, IMS, Microsoft Office
Based on job need utilizing powered hand tools (drills, grinders, porta-band, etc.)
Participates in training and personal development; assists in training department personnel and apprentices.
Communicates within the assigned team and with all support teams.
Understands and applies appropriate company and department rules and guidelines to work.
Knows and complies with departmental, site, and company safety policies and procedures including the proper wear and use of require personal protective equipment.
Participates in improvement projects; uses common problem solving techniques while working alone or in teams.
Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to get the job done.
Completes work with minimal supervision
