Responsible for overseeing and maintaining all company-owned buildings, support equipment, vehicles and grounds. Also serves as the company Voluntary First Response Team.
Duties will include
Repair facility related items such as light fixtures, HVAC and plumbing issues; contact service company for items that cannot be repaired internally per maintenance manager approval.
Monitor and contact outside services for waste disposal, scrap, first aid, security and janitorial services, as needed.
Support the company's LEAN 5S system to reduce waste and optimize productivity through maintaining an orderly workplace and using visual cues to achieve more consistent operational results.
Maintain inventory of janitorial and first aid supplies, including stocking janitorial closets and first aid cabinets through the facilities.
Order and purchase items needed for production and maintenance needs such as parts, lubricants, chemicals, safety equipment, janitorial items, tools and equipment.
Monitor outside service agreements; perform cost analysis in search of overhead savings.
Conduct preventative maintenance / motor vehicle inspections on company vehicles.
Serve as a team member of the Lean Committee to ensure the company is maximizing our customer value while minimizing waste within the workplace.
Perform cosmetic repairs such as drywall, paint and woodworking.
Responsible for maintaining and overseeing the Hazard Communication program by keeping the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) updated and current throughout the workplace.
Assist in waste management of spent oils and lubricants, as well as waste water and scrap metals; this may include troubleshooting parts washing and evaporation processes.
Serve as an active team member on the Safety Committee addressing facilities needs to support compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
Perform specialized safety assignments as may be determined by the Safety Committee to help maintain OSHA compliance when needed.
Log, interpret and prioritize maintenance requests forms, as well as documenting work performed and ensuring efficiency within time constraints are maximized.
Maintain and inventory company records; accounting, security codes/facility keys and confidential information such payroll and other employee records.
Support in the preparation of company sponsored events.
Ensure all aisles and walkways are free of debris, clean and safe. This includes being responsible for clearing walkways during inclement weather whether ice, snow or sleet.
Perform other incidental duties as may be required.

2 plus years of experience in facility and/or equipment maintenance
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Valid Driver's License Required.
CP/AED/Basic First Aid Certification Preferred
2 years of current forklift operation experience
Must be able to work in the following environments:
Office and/or manufacturing environment, will also include outside environment.
