Job Summary: Responsible for Space Planning of Panasonic Avionics' Lake Forest Campus (500,000 sf). Responsible for its operation and the accuracy of the space and people data contained within in our Facilities Management System (FMS), as well as move plans and real estate strategic plans.
Major Responsibilities: Space Planning
•Manage Space Planning for Lake Forest Campus (may expand to other locations).
•Responsible for working with departments on seat assignments, space requests, move requests.
•Responsible for the accuracy of space and people data in the FMS (CAFM) system.
•Overall responsible to keep the Campus Master Plan current.
•Work with Facility Team on projects that require additional space.
•Setup work areas for use, e.g. workstations and offices for new hires.
•Support design and test-fits in other locations, as needed.

Project Management
•Plan, coordinate and manage/oversee projects, including but not limited to moves, reconfigurations.
•Ensure good communication with all stakeholders involved in the project.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:•Ability to manage space efficiently and proactively, accuracy of seating charts, meeting deadlines for new hire & employee / department moves, as well as (internal and external) communication skills, leadership, teamwork, strategic planning and problem solving skills.
•Scenario planning
•Ability to manage team members and vendors
•Ability to handling several project concurrently in a fast moving environment with tight datelines and limited space.
•Proven project management experience with use of tools and techniques
•Proactive, timely, concise and informative communication skills. Ability to have clear communication channels with other members of the Facilities team to ensure everyone is on the same page and avoid misunderstandings.
•Proactive planning and problem solving skills
•Good understanding of how project management intersects with other real estate and facility disciplines
•Strong customer service track record with ability to work with senior management.
•Ability to handle demanding clients with conflicting goals. Ability to negotiate and find a middle ground.
•Proficient in use of Microsoft programs and aptitude in use / management of CAFM programs.
•Ability to work in teams and independently.
•Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
•Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.

Education/Experience Requirements: •Degree preferred.
•5yrs experience in Space Planning; CAFM experience desirable (ideally FMS).
•Project Management certification or proof of project management abilities.

Other Requirements:
•Willingness to do what is needed to make the role and the department successful.
•Bending, twisting, squatting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, lifting furniture and equipment (up to 50 pounds).
•Typical repetitive tasks include lifting, keyboarding, telephoning and inventorying common supplies.
