  • Maintains and repairs the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
  • Performs skilled trades work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs, or office fixtures.
  • Manages small construction projects and improvements to the facilities.
  • Manages equipment failures or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary.
  • Works from blueprints, drawings or rough sketches.

  • Familiar with HVAC and EMS requirements.
  • Trained to handle hazardous materials (HAZMAT).
  • Skilled in hand and power tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to schedule and coordinate project priorities and resources and to produce high quality work.
  • Able to effectively share information and ideas within and outside of department in written or verbal form; able to put forth own ideas and gain understanding from others.
  • Proficient at supporting effective interactions between team members and among cross-functional teams.
  • Microsoft basic computer skills.

  • AA degree or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
  • 5 years of related facility experience.
  • Experience with biotechnology organizations preferred
