Maintains and repairs the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
Performs skilled trades work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs, or office fixtures.
Manages small construction projects and improvements to the facilities.
Manages equipment failures or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary.
Works from blueprints, drawings or rough sketches.
Familiar with HVAC and EMS requirements.
Trained to handle hazardous materials (HAZMAT).
Skilled in hand and power tools.
Demonstrated ability to schedule and coordinate project priorities and resources and to produce high quality work.
Able to effectively share information and ideas within and outside of department in written or verbal form; able to put forth own ideas and gain understanding from others.
Proficient at supporting effective interactions between team members and among cross-functional teams.
Microsoft basic computer skills.
AA degree or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
5 years of related facility experience.
Experience with biotechnology organizations preferred
