GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The GME Faculty Development Director is responsible for working collaboratively with subject matter experts to engage, unite, and support the creation and implementation of faculty relations and development programs to support HCA GME strategic goals.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Development, marketing and executing high-level strategic plans related to staff or faculty employee engagement and development
  • Organizational and individual development needs assessment
  • Implementing programs and trainings for diverse audiences to build a continuous learning environment that addresses learning needs, develops talent, and fosters engagement
  • Experience applying assessment methodologies to evaluate programmatic impact
  • Project management experience to take complex, high impact projects from conception to fruition; while developing quantifiable measurements, and prioritizing large workload to meet strict deadlines and budgets in an environment of multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Continuous knowledge of academic literature and resources in the areas of faculty development, academic support assessment, learning styles, program review and institutional effectiveness
  • Ensure alignment of HCA faculty development program initiatives with ACGME accreditation standards, program innovations and specialty specific curriculum standards

HIGHLY PREFERRED EXPERIEINCE
  • Experience with managing programs geared towards career development for high-level career academics
  • Previous experience in healthcare related education environment

Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION
  • Master's Degree from an accredited program providing training in a related field required and a minimum of 10 years related experience.

LANUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent presentation skills

SKILLS
  • Ability to think strategically, critically analyze and synthesize data and scientific information
  • Ability to coordinate and facilitate the work of committees, councils, vendors, and other groups
  • Ability to develop comprehensive outcomes reports
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects
  • Ability to plan and execute complex educational initiatives, including developing work plans, promotion plans, schedules, budgets, and contracts.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and software for word processing, database management, spreadsheet and presentation graphics
