Federal - In House Counsel - Compliance and Ethics

Basic Qualifications:
  • US Citizen
  • 5 years of federal compliance experience in a law firm and/or as in-house counsel for a large corporate legal department
  • 5 years experience applying and interpreting U.S. federal regulations (e.g. FAR, DFARS, and other applicable law) in the context of a large federal business
  • 5 years of experience providing legal advice to business clients
  • JD and active bar membership

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding and appreciation of U.S. regulatory compliance issues (e.g., anticorruption, data privacy, procurement integrity, mandatory disclosure, competition law and of contractual issues (e.g., indemnification, limitation of liability, personnel issues, data privacy, export compliance, etc.) as they apply to government transactions
  • Working knowledge of business ethics matters
  • Ability to inspire confidence in business clients
  • Exemplary written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to independently manage drafting documents, training, correspondence, policies, and procedures
  • Responsive on commitments
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • In-depth knowledge of government compliance and procurement issues


An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
