CHS has an opportunity for a Feed Mill Panel Operator at our Feed Mill located in Holland, Mich., on the third shift (10 pm to 6:30 am). You will work extensively with Country Operations Cooperative Customers in insuring they are provided the highest level of service. You must be customer focused, be hard working, and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

You will,
  • Operate computerized feed batching equipment to manufacture livestock feeds.
  • Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently and in a manner that assures accuracy and high quality.
  • Be responsible for all feed mill operations in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Monitor and maintain quality of inventory.
  • Assist with production scheduling, inventory planning and control.
  • Assist with maintenance and repair as needed.
  • Determine proper routing and distribution for manufactured feeds.
  • Perform necessary sequencing, recording, and documenting of all feed manufactured during the shift.
  • Perform regular and periodic housecleaning processes and record keeping.
  • Oversee, assist, and/or supervise as required several of the following areas:
  1. Ingredient receiving
  2. Grain processing
  3. Finished feed routing
  4. Sampling and quality assurance
  5. Loading bulk delivery trucks
  6. Assist with maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist customers.
  • Observe and enforce all company policies and procedures, promoting safety in the workplace and acting in a safe manner at all time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • One-plus years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift 75 lbs; and climb rail cars, ladders, stairs and bins.
  • Ability to operate loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile.
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Ability to work long hours to meet business demands.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Agriculture background
  • Grain handling and operating milling experience
  • Knowledge of livestock feed
