Provides service to the intermediary market by supporting sales staff in the internal and external post-sale activities associated with the acquisition of new business and in maintaining existing client relationships. For the assigned book of business, consisting of customers with 100 - 4,999 lives, this position is responsible for working with internal partners to resolve escalated issues, end to end commission related inquires, request needed plan performance reporting, actively participation in the implementation process, responsible for coordinating attendance for and conduct enrollment meetings and benefit fairs for MetLife customers.
Actively participates in finalist meetings for prospective customers, stewardship meetings for existing customers and broker meetings to discuss both and responsible for the creation of presentation materials.
Ensures proper licensing and appointment paperwork is in good order for writing agents. Must be able to demonstrates strong client-specific product knowledge and provides consultative assistance on issues related to their plans. Stays informed of specific client activities taking place (acquisitions, divestures, layoffs, budget challenges, etc.). Tracks renewal status and margin position, negotiation of rates, working with underwriting to request alternate plan designs as necessary and initiation of amendments and follow through of amendments. Performs other duties as assigned or required by specific market to successfully support the Account Executive, Broker, and Customers. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of related experience
- Group Life and Health License (or able to obtain within first 90 days of employment)
- Must demonstrate strong organization skills, excellent presentation skills, oral and written communication skills.
- Able to work well independently as well as partner with others internally and develop/maintain strong working relationships.
- Must have the ability to solve problems and think creatively in a very fast and ever-changing environment.
- 5-7+ years Group Insurance experience
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to maneuver within multiple complex systems at same time.
- Strong product knowledge and underwriting skills.
