A Field Service Medical Technician job in Minneapolis, MN is now available through Adecco Medical and Science. Primary responsibility of this position is performing repairs, upgrades and preventative maintenance of cardiac monitoring, ultrasound and diagnostic systems at customer sites. Work with partner companies to promote account management and provide their customers with quality technical support in a manner conducive to enhancing customer satisfaction. This position is ideal for a road warrior; there is more than 50% travel involved.
Provide on-site repair, performance verification, software/hardware upgrades and preventative maintenance on assigned medical and computer products within specified vendor guidelines.
Establish and maintain close communication with assigned customers to ensure maximum operational visibility.
Initiate frequent contact with customer to determine the degree of customer satisfaction and quality.
Be responsible for customer satisfaction as related to support services.
Be responsible for following quality practices specified by company and product vendor.
Provide accurate and timely reporting of information regarding service repairs and customer account information.
Maintain a professional appearance at all times with regard to dress and personal appearance as well as tools and equipment.
Control and maintain all assets needed to perform tasks such as tools and parts.
Responsible for the timely maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
Promote teamwork and cooperation with company and vendor partner's personnel.
Maintain a safe work environment and utilize appropriate safety equipment.
Maintains field inventory, parts usage, and timely return of defective material.
Understand and apply appropriate quality improvement processes.
Must maintain valid driver's license, auto insurance and working vehicle capable of carrying required tools, parts and equipment to perform job duties.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with healthcare & business professionals.
Associate's Degree in Biomedical, Electrical or Electronic Technology or equivalent education and experience.
Excellent customer service skills
Proven ability in developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships
Effective time management and organizational skills
May be required to demonstrate the ability to lift materials per specified and approved limits.
Ability to use basic computer skills to perform diagnostic testing.
Available for stand-by and after-hours responsibility.
Available to travel on occasion for support of other territories.
Ability to continually learn new product service techniques.
Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Network and A+ certification preferred.
