Adecco Direct Placement is currently seeking candidates for a Direct Hire Injection Molding Field Service Technician Job for the Central Indiana area for our client, a leader in the Injection Molding and Plastics Manufacturing capital equipment industry, to service their manufacturing clients in the Central Indiana area. Your two (2) or more years of experience in a technical role installing, troubleshooting, calibrating, retrofitting, repairing and servicing plastics injection molding equipment will be a great fit for this role. You will travel to the client's customers clients to coordinate installations, train customers on proper operations, recommend best practices and troubleshoot and calibrate machinery to ensure the highest quality manufactured products are produced. This position requires extensive travel to clients in the designated territory, including the possibility of some overnight travel. Our client offers an 2+ month training program at their corporate location and an additional 2+ months in the field training. This position offers a salary that is based on experience, from entry level to mid and senior level, with a wide range of $25-$30 per hour plus overtime, including during travel time, which can significantly increase earnings to $70,000 to $110,000 depending on experience. A complete benefits package, including a company vehicle, is also offered.
Responsibilities for the Injection Molding Equipment Field Technician Job for the Central Indiana territory include:
Maintain, repair and troubleshooting Injection Molding equipment at the customers location
Demonstrate equipment and optimal machine operations to clients at their manufacturing site
Train clients on machine use and recommend improvements for area product and processes.
Oversee riggers during installation of plastics molding machines and associated equipment in a customer's facility.
Participate in or lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts with the customers, installers, and other professionals.
Produce and maintain a consistent quality of work while working safely in an environmentally responsible manner.
Two or more years of hands-on experience on troubleshooting and operations experience of Plastics and Injection Molding machinery or similar industry (some knowledge of injection Molding required).
Experience in Field Service or multi-unit plant is strongly preferred but not required.
Two or more years of experience working with Electrical Controls and PLC's, including troubleshooting and installation (programming PLC's is NOT required).
Able to travel esxtensively as needed to client's location including overnight travel
Professional and courteous demeanor with excellent customer service skills
Associates in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred with a minimum of high school education or GED are required
Lifting, handling and transportation of heavy equipment and parts.
Outstanding communication skills, demonstration of area standards in attendance, teamwork, housekeeping and leading by example are vital for the Field Service Technician position.
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
