General Summary
Contribute to North America Shared Services - Winston Salem success by developing and delivering automation solutions designed to drive cash flow, improve productivity, promote standardization, enhance controls and minimize process risk. Serve as technical resource on business driven automation initiatives throughout project lifecycle, working across various functions to gather business process requirements, designing/developing automation solutions, performing unit testing for quality assurance, training end users on automated processes and completing relevant process documentation per internal standards. Other role responsibilities include working closely with other developers on shared projects, as well as supporting the broader RPA COE by promoting the furthered effectiveness of RPA governance and change management initiatives.

Accountabilities:
Development (60%)
  • Partner with business SME to understand process requirements & design
  • Work with business team to analyze and assess automation feasibility, translating business requirements into RPA technical design document
  • Configure automation processes as prescribed by internal COE standards
  • Develop code/script to meet the defined design/solution approach
  • Ensure quality of coded components by performing end to end unit testing
  • Provide implementation and post production support for scripts in PROD
  • Participate in demand management forum, aligning with business on project prioritization, expected savings and forecasted development effort

Innovation (20%)
  • Identify repetitive process and system issues, collaborating with other teams to implement process and technical changes to close gaps
  • Partner with business to identify opportunities for "reuse" of existing bot components to drive further organizational efficiencies
  • Keep current on latest in Robotic Process Automation, prioritizing personal development within existing RPA infrastructure while promoting broader awareness to emerging technologies
  • Support RPA COE in the creation and ongoing refinement of an appropriately tailored RPA solution that provides the optimum platform for rapid and repeatable delivery of automated processes

Documentation (10%)

  • Ensure timely and comprehensive execution of process documents in compliance with RPA COE standards (incl. Process Design documents, Technical Design documents, Automation Solution flow charts, etc.)
  • Support the development of end-user documentation and training materials as required for new functionality and processes

Baseline Support (10%)

  • Schedule and monitor execution of existing RPA processes, ensuring ongoing automation integrity, acceptable performance & troubleshooting
  • Support and drive change management of existing processes as per new requirements using a structured change control process
  • Provide a periodic scorecard to key stakeholders, communicating the ongoing value realized through RPA & manual efforts required to maintain


Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
  • 1+ years experience on any RPA tool (UIpath, Blueprism, Open span, Automation Anywhere, Winautomation, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including good client interaction skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience, as well as produce clear and concise written documentation
  • The aptitude to contribute to the evolution of methodologies and procedures in a controlled manner to continually improve a rapid and repeatable delivery channel
  • Solid coding, testing and debugging skills
  • Keen analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • Strong team orientation; ability to work well in a collaborative environment
  • Detail oriented with sound organizational skills
  • Proficient in documentation, requirements gathering
  • Demonstrated capability to lead, manage and complete multiple concurrent projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Microsoft power user


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Four year degree in computer science, information technology, or other related IT function
  • Proficiency in VBA, VB.NET, SQL
  • Preferred experience in XML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C#
  • Experience managing through the Project Life Cycle, from design to execution to process documentation
