Finance Intern
Schneider Electric seeks a Finance intern to help build a solid analysis (and process) to track performance of selected product launches, including sales, gross margin and ROI for the IT Division (US and Canada).
In this internship position, you will work on the finance team which supports the Innovation & Technology organization.

The position will be based in West Kingston, Rhode Island.

Role Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
· Supporting efficient product management through data integration
· Improving finance monitoring of innovation project expenses and marketing investments
· Analyzing forecasted expectations against actual results over time
· Solving problems and helping to enhance analytical methods to streamline decision making
· Supporting efficient product management through data integration
· Applying financial rigor and discipline, ensuring maximum financial support is provided to the R&D team to aid with the mitigation of risks in decision making
· Participating in operations reviews to ensure both short-term budgets and long-term plans are on track

Local Candidates are highly preferred since the position does not include relocation benefits.

Ideally, you should be junior or senior majoring in Finance/Accounting, or Business Administration in good academic standing (GPA > 3.0)


Qualifications:
Additionally, you should possess the following:
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • High level of proficiency in MS Excel
  • Interest in corporate finance
  • Good collaborative and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions while being proactive and autonomous
