Role Summary:

The Finance Manager provides finance leadership and analytical support for the GE Healthcare Global Business Development group.

Essential Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities include:

+ Partner with Business Development team in valuing target companies and leading all financial aspects of the M&A process

+ Lead finance M&A closing process and transition to deal integration team after deal closing

+ Collaborate with business finance leadership (CFO, FP&A, Controllership, Tax, Treasury), operational leaders and key functions to develop financial and economic analysis to support the M&A process

+ Advise Business Development teams on the structure of transactions to maximize profitability and efficiency, while ensuring compliance and controllership

+ Ensure deal economics are presented on a consistent and accurate basis and key issues are correctly disclosed/reflected

+ Drive for process improvement and consistency in modelling and due diligence practices for use throughout GE Healthcare

+ Prepare overall annual Business Development budget and actively monitor department costs and deal costs providing quarterly department cost and deal costs reporting to management

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

+ Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with significant financial work experience including analyzing financial statements and operating performance of a company/division and reporting results to management or equivalent knowledge and experience

+ Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, recommend alternatives and drive positive change

+ Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas

+ Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively both verbally and in writing

+ Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation

+ You must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational background

Desired Characteristics:

+ Some business development / M&A experience in the Healthcare segment, specifically in the areas of acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and other investments

+ Have experience leading various aspects of financial due diligence for an acquisition, divestiture, joint venture and other investments

+ Adaptable/flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations

+ Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others

+ Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS

+ Experience working in a matrix environment

+ Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving controllership/GE Values

+ Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows

+ Masters' degree in Business Administration or equivalent
