Position Summary: The Finance Profit Recovery Director is responsible for Recovery audits related to the merchandising promotional income stream, A/P transactions, contract compliance audits on goods and services for resale and not for resale, store DSD credits and misc.corporate audits. Debit balance collections/management are also included in this responsibility. This position manages 3 outside audit firms that perform secondary audits to recover additional monies due CVS at a negotiated contingency rate. Direction from this position is essential to meet budgetary goals and reduce exposure to losses. We have a technical resource area that supports all IS needs to operate the department effectively. This position also supports the financial process for our environmental program as it relates to Store/DC waste(product cost and fee income). This position is responsible for Budgets/Forecasts/Reserve assessments for all P&L/Balance Sheet areas related to these responsibilities.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
1. Thorough knowledge of promotional income streams and contracts which are required to defend CVS position on chargebacks/overbillings
2. Audit background to facilitate mdse./expense recovery, contract compliance audits, misc. audits
3. Thorough knowledge of “supplier policies” related to RX/FS returns, merchandising, profit recovery
4. Strong negotiation skills
5. Analytical skills to identify opportunities and strive forward with solutions
Required Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years of Finance and or Accounting experience within a large corporation
- Prior management experience Preferred Qualifications: - Prior audit experience preferred
- MBA preferred
