Transistor and Interconnect Group (TIG) Business Summary

The TIG segment under the Silicon Systems Group focuses on developing products that will enable key growth drivers for the company. The group is expected to grow significantly in the next 3 years driven by key inflections in new memory, patterning, packaging, selective epi , new materials and deposition . The group has a proven track record of delivering revenue with high ROI across multiple product lines with an ever-increasing market share

To support this growth and profitable performance , the TIG finance team is structured by business unit providing support in all aspects of new business development, NPV analysis, product life cycle tracking, released product margins and revenue deal analysis. Our organization partners directly with key leaders from Sales, Business mgt, Operations and corporate finance to deliver world class finance support

The position we are hiring supports the Front-End Products (FEP) business unit. This business is critical to TIG's overall growth and profitability strategy as it continues to grow its product portfolio for FEP Low Pressure CVD (LPCVD), Gate Stack, Epitaxy & Rapid Thermal Processing (RTP)

Job Summary

The FEP finance analyst reports to the FEP Controller. He/she is responsible for supporting all aspects of the P&L and Strategy planning for the businesses they support. On the Finance support side, they will work directly with the Center of Excellence (COE), World Wide Operations (WWOPs), FP&A and corporate accounting. One the Business Partnering side, they will be engaged with Sales, Product Managers, Engineers and Operations.

Major Responsibilities
  • Business Partnering across all levels of the organization
  • Provide key financial reports & presentations to senior management with a focus on timeliness, accuracy & analysis enabling better business decision making capabilities
  • Will interface with all levels of AMAT Finance (BUs, WWOPs, COE, & Corp Accounting)
  • Alignment with Sales & Business Managers during forecast cycles, and ad hoc
  • Full P&L ownership across multiple products (Revenue, Margin, Opex, HC)
  • Hyperion planning, Essbase and SAP experience all required ; Excel skills must be advanced
  • Travel only on occasion to support the business if required but will be minimal

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university with a major in business, economics, accounting or finance
  • 3-5 years of experience a in spending analysis. Inventory or costing role or related financial planning and analysis position
  • Experience in financial support of a segment or division preferred
  • Prior experience in an operational ERP environment (Oracle, SAP, Hyperion) is required
