Accountemps is looking for a zealous Financial Analyst to be part of a thriving company in the Oil Gas - Explor Prod industry. We seek someone who has internal drive and strong potential for detail oriented growth and development. In this position, you will conduct financial modeling on various financial products as well as have responsibility for measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans. We will be relying on you for advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. As a team member, you will serve as a key business partner in areas like forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This Financial Analyst role is based in the Houston, Texas, area and is a short term temporary employment opportunity. Your responsibilities in this role - Understand and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending - Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide decision making support - Acquire a knowledge of and apply econometric and statistical methods to forecasting - Work closely with cross-functional partners in Accounting, Recruiting, People and Operations to execute against plans - Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment level Bookings and P L forecasting - Track monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources in the best way possible - Drive the strategy and business planning process - Provide analytical support during New Year readiness/Year End planning cycle - Analyze performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities - Operate with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process - Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization - Become rooted within the Marketing and Customer Success organizations. Establish trust and quickly understand the key drivers of the business, economic trends and core metrics - Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
