The AGS Segment for Applied Materials is critical to the Company's success. AGS's high profit margins, new products mixed with sustainable growth and an ever-increasing market share are the primary funding sources for all the Company's core segments. The group's FY16 Operating margins and revenue were the highest in years, and are expected to continue. The future outlook for the AGS segment is strong and promising, and the prospects for the AGS Finance team supporting the segment are bright.

Job Summary

The EPG analyst reports to the EPG Finance Manager. He/she is responsible for all aspects of the P&L and Strategy planning for the businesses they support. On the Finance support side, they will work directly with the COE (Central Finance support team), WWOPs (Mfg Finance Support team), FP&A and regional Finance. On the Business Partnering side, they will be engaged with Sales, Business Development, Product Managers, and Engineers. All inclusive financial/ business support role - not restricted to one corner of the business or financial arena;

Major Responsibilities
  • Business Partnering across all levels of the organization
  • Provide key financial reports & presentations to senior management with a focus on timeliness, accuracy & analysis enabling better business decision making capabilities
  • Will interface with all levels of AMAT Finance (BUs, WWOPs, COE, & Regional Finance)
  • Alignment with Sales & Business Managers during forecast cycles, and ad hoc
  • Full P&L ownership across multiple businesses (Revenue, Margin, HC)
  • Hyperion planning, Essbase and SAP experience all required
  • Travel (~10%) to support the business, domestic / international

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university with a major in business, economics, accounting or finance
  • BS or MBA
  • 5 years of experience in customer support / spending analysis role or related financial planning and analysis role
  • Experience in financial support of segment or division preferred
  • Prior experience in an operational ERP environment (Oracle, SAP, Hyperion) is required
