FINANCE ANALYST, SENIOR - PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

POSITION PURPOSE:

Fiserv, a Fortune 500 company with $5+ billion in revenue and over 14,500 clients worldwide, offers an exciting opportunity for a Senior Process Improvement Analyst. This position reports to the Process Improvement Manager within the Procure to Pay (PTP) function. The preferred candidate will assist in a PTP transformational pan-Fiserv Finance project, focused on redesigning PTP processes, improving efficiencies and optimizing results. We are looking for a key contributor with the ability to drive change, improve processes and realize efficiencies. To be successful in this role, the candidate needs to be able to grasp the business operations and vital PTP processes across Fiserv, possess strong technical accounting/finance knowledge, excel in a fast paced ever evolving environment and drive positive momentum across multiple projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partners with key stakeholders to understand and document current state processes, identify gaps within existing processes and develop recommendations for improvement. Conducts analyses, both quantitative and qualitative, to analyze alternatives to identified gaps, including any potential cost and time savings; provides comprehensive evaluations for presentation to business and senior management. Designs future state business processes and functional requirements for system enhancements / modifications; assists in identifying business practice and organizational changes needed for the future state. Collaborates with IT business partners to design user acceptance test scripts by working with the business community and helping to facilitate user acceptance testing for proposed functional changes Develops written documentation, including current state process documentation, issue summaries, system requirements, training documents and executive report outs Owns and maintains key project management tools, comprising development of milestones, management of timelines, updating progress and driving the resolution of identified issues Serves as trusted advisor on PTP issues by becoming skillfully knowledgeable of key drivers that impact business performance across Fiserv. Functions as thought leader to assist in the overall development of Finance policy / procedures across Fiserv organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent business degree

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in process improvement, project management and documentation.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement is preferred.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Practical understanding and application of improvement practices, including identification and assessment of upstream and downstream impacts of any proposed changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance the right amount of process control with the right amount of business flexibility.
  • Ability to build critical relationships and cultivate a high sense of urgency.
  • Ability to drive, document and communicate cross functional process improvement and root cause initiatives
  • Ability to understand and communicate process requirements and improvements to internal constituents at varying degrees of technical sophistication and managerial responsibility
  • Successful and demonstrated ability to improve current processes and implement new ones as needed; ability to drive to the root cause of issues and develop actionable, sustainable solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experienced presentation skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of data analysis and how data can be utilized to develop strategic solutions to process breakdowns
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organization, and decision making skills
  • Excellent analytical, project management and organization skills with keen attention to detail and ability to comprehend complex operational challenges
  • Self-starter/self-directed that performs with high energy and passion
