+ Responsible for creating, packaging, and communicating analytic work using appropriate medium for insights, including story line and data visualizations.
+ Works across the department to identify modeling and analytic needs.
+ Manages multiple projects to develop measurement necessary to provide the functionality necessary to drive business results.
+ Gathers, analyzes and interprets a wide variety of underlying data to support business, customer and/or financial objectives. Identifies and assists in implementing data/reporting process improvements.
+ Creates and updates monthly financial business reports, including visualizations and working with internal stakeholders to determine KPIs.
+ Trains others in data techniques and reporting tools.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Undergraduate studies with post graduate studies preferred in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics or similar field.
License/Certification/Designation: Insurance related studies gained by technical insurance designation is preferred.
Experience: min 3 years of business analytics experience required
JOB SUMMARY: Develops methodologies, assumptions, qualifications, computer programs, and analytical tools, using a variety of programming languages and software. Captures and processes data for complex actuarial and financial analyses. Works with supervision on more complex projects/assignments. Performs other duties as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education: Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar background requiring modeling, programming, or quantitative analysis.Experience: At least five years actuarial or related experience.Knowledge: Broad-based knowledge of actuarial business functions, statistical methods of analysis, company actuarial systems and databases, and their integration, technical facility with leading computer tools and technology.Skills/Competencies: Proficient in Microsoft Office products (including VBA within Access and Excel), programming languages and likely Actuarial models. Basic level of perpective, customer focus, business perspective, and accounting.
