Role Overview The Security Senior Analyst role is an opportunity to use the latest network security technologies for a global, very large enterprise client, while providing excellent career growth opportunities. This is a critical role in our 24x7 Cyber Threat Security Operations Center, with direct impact on our client relationships and company success: triaging incidents, answering inbound phone calls, addressing customer emails, and providing support for neighboring teams within Dell SecureWorks’ Cyber Security Operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting customers with issue resolution, updating customer records within a CRM ticketing system (Remedy), and performing required technical tasks related to the management and monitoring of the customer’s services. Role Responsibilities - Make basic network security device configuration changes including Check Point, Juniper and other enterprise class firewall access moves, adds and changes (MAC), and work with customers to troubleshoot network and security related issues - Address and respond to inbound phone and electronic requests for technical assistance with Dell SecureWorks services and products, within our service level agreement timeframes - Manage all customer situations in a professional and courteous business manner with an emphasis on excellence and very high levels of customer satisfaction. Assess and escalate to next level as needed - Generate and update technical documentation - Manage, participate in, or directly work on any additional projects, assignments,or initiatives assigned by management Shift -Hours: Evening shift, 4:00pm to 12:30am, Eastern time -Work week: Tuesday through Saturday As a managed security provider, SecureWorks expects its employees to understand and apply commonly known security practices and possess a working knowledge of applicable industry controls such as NIST 800-53. Employees will be expected to acknowledge their security responsibilities in writing prior to gaining access to company systems. Employees will be required to maintain a working knowledge of local security policies and execute general controls as assigned. Role Requirements 2 to 3 years of relevant experience (Linux system administration, network administration, hands-on maintenance of enterprise class internet firewalls, and providing outstanding customer service); or may consider equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Experience to include: -Experience in Linux or UNIX working directly from the command line -Thorough understanding of networking, protocols, routing principles and the OSI model -Excellent problem solving skills and keen ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues -Highly professional, friendly and effective written and verbal communication skills to maintain excellent levels of client satisfaction, with strong attention to detail Preferences -Security and Product certifications are highly preferred (CCNA, CCNA-Security, CCNP, Security , Linux , JNCIA, JNCIS, SANS, GIAC GCIA and GCIH etc.) -Experience with creating and maintaining process and procedure documentation -Familiarity with basic scripting/programming such as: PERL, BASH, MySQL -Computer Science, networking or related degree Location Onsite at one of our U.S. Security Operations Centers / Cyber Threat Operations Centers: Atlanta GA, Lisle IL, or Providence RI.
