Paypal's Hardware & Innovation Labs team is looking for a skilled, energetic and smart engineer who is passionate about building robust solutions, exploring new technology and providing top notch user experience. This team focuses on innovation which utilizes the current Paypal API stack and builds exciting new consumer and merchant solutions using them. As an engineer in this team you would be working on technology like Tokenization, Authentication and Authorization platforms, Android/iOs apps, BLE, NFC and many more. This team also explores on creating proof of concepts based on the latest market leading technologies over PayPal's current stack. Requirements :

  • Architect, design and develop mobile/web application using Restful Services on Node.js.
  • Production JavaScript application design and testing experience.
  • Solid knowledge of frameworks such as React and Flux/Redux or Backbone/Angular/Ember
  • Hands on Work experience on iOS/Android platform
  • Experience with web frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, Webpack, LESS, Bootstrap, and jQuery/Dojo/YUI.
  • Solid knowledge of algorithms, design patterns, and componentization approaches.
  • Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform, and design constraints on the web.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong desire to learn, push the envelope, and share knowledge with others
  • Work with cloud environments like AWS, Google, Microsoft
  • Work with Hardware prototyping teams.
  • Knowledge of proximity technologies like BLE, NFC, Zigbee etc.


  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English
  • Excellent knowledge of programming languages, especially C++, Java, Node.js, Python, PHP
  • Partner closely with design & product to craft great product experiences.
  • Deliver code in a DevOps environment.
  • Deliver code in an agile team environment.
  • Lead code reviews to drive teams to the highest standards for Node.js apps & web apps.
  • Provide architectural leadership in product development team.
  • Drive teams to follow clean code principles.
  • 3+ years of experience on Software development
