What is this position?
The IT Division of Schneider Electric is seeking an intern to participate in the development of embedded system firmware and software utilities associated with one of our platforms.

What do you get to do in this position?
This position will be responsible for assisting a team of embedded design engineers with the deployment of a new network management platform RTOS core and/or ongoing development and maintenance of the existing product. Development tasks may include, but are not limited to: Embedded DHCP/DNS, automated unit tests, debug system, updates to the associated software utility chain, embedded web UI, and build scripts.

This job might be for you if:
  • You are currently enrolled (Junior or Senior) in a BS program in Computer/Electrical Engineering, or directly related field (required)
  • Have a working knowledge of C and Python (required)
  • Have experience with Make (desired)
  • Can read schematics and datasheets (desired)
  • Have conceptual knowledge of, or applied experience with, C#, HTML, JavaScript, REST-based web services and/or XML (desired)
  • Are able to analyze product requirements and design possible solutions
  • Can work both independently, and in a team, to contribute to design and delivery goals
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
