Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience working in interaction design or information architecture (an advanced degree counts for one or two of those), specifically in mobile and software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing and conducting user research (generative and usability)
  • Mastery of interaction design illustration and communication tools, such as Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
  • Demonstrated experience with prototyping tools
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and managing junior team members
  • Some experience with business development / pitching new clients
  • Some experience with project planning, forecasting, and resourcing
  • Some experience interviewing and vetting potential ID hires
A portfolio that demonstrates:
  • The ability to ensure consistency and thoroughness of interaction design across an application
  • The ability to think conceptually
  • The ability to connect user needs insights to business objectives
  • Excellent wireframes and client deliverables
Extra credit:
  • Experience working on multiple projects for the same client or developing more work streams with a client
