Responsible for the overall Maintenance of the Transportation Equipment and Company Fleet in an efficient, cost-effective manner.

Bachelors Degree Preferred

 

:

 

  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Detailed oriented, analytical and computer literate with proven supervisory skills
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal / external customer service
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Products

 

:

 

  • Maintain relationship with leasing company and monitoring expenses, uptime, PM compliance, and overall quality of the leased vehicles
  • Provide overall management and direction of company’s fleet of trucks, trailers and other  equipment.
  • Document and analyze all accidents in company vehicles in cooperation with Transportation
  • Manager and involved Drivers.
  • Manage all repair activities and corresponding insurance claims
  • Manage and analyze the activities and services of the fuel vendor
  • Manage and coordinate appropriate distribution of vehicle tracking information
  • Ensure vehicles operate in accordance with federal, state, and city standards and regulations
  • Good attendance and adherence to work schedule
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, both internally and externally to the highest standards
  • Develop equipment parking plan

 

 

  • Must have CDL class A
  • Must maintain equipment in Roadnet database
  • Flexible hours and days of the week
  • Manage Yard Jockeys and coordinate work schedules with Cruise Ship demands
  • Work with approved vendors for accuracy, cost effectiveness and invoice processing
  • Transition old/new equipment by coordinating efforts with Corporate
  • Maintain Master Equipment list
  • Work with refrigeration vendor to maintain equipment, but to establish a preventative maintenance program.

 

:

 

  • Able to work in confined spaces and awkward positions.
  • Must be able to use mechanics tools and equipment effectively.
  • Able to lift 20 lb. parts and supplies.
  • Able to be exposed to cold room temperatures ranging from 32 degrees to freezing temperatures in the warehouse.
