Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Flexo Press Operator job in Omaha, NE. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1 Perform make ready functions. 2 Obtain information from job tickets and prepare press accordingly. 3 Properly scan all activities during the job into the computer for job cost accounting. 4 Attend to the press during a run to ensure proper operation quality is maintained. 5 Perform Press Wash-Up/Clean-up procedures. 6 Perform press maintenance/upkeep. 7 Understand all press controls. 8 All functions will need to be performed in a loud environment. INDIRECT SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1 Provide direction to Press Assistants/Lean Specialists as relates to job responsibilities/tasks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 1 Ability to read and write. 2 Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. 3 Ability to use Standard and Metric units of measurement. 4 Ability to differentiate colors. 5 Ability to stand continuously, aside from breaks, for an entire shift plus overtime. 6 Good communication skills. 7 Employee must have lean training and support a lean culture. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 1 High School Diploma or equivalent 2 Previous experience in printing on Webtron Flexo Press, Mark Andy Flexo Press or a Comco 4 to 10 Color Press. (Printing on paper or film materials.) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1 Seeing and hearing: Read documents, a computer screen, answer a phone and communicate in person. 2 Dexterity: utilizing a phone, typing and writing. 3 Lifting: must be able to roll up to 100lbs of product. 4 Frequent bending, stooping, twisting of lumbar and squatting. 5 Carrying: 5 gallon buckets weighing up to 50lbs, and rolling product that can weigh up to 100lbs. 6 Walking: Walking on cement floors and anti-fatigue mats. 7 Standing: Standing on cement floors, anti-fatigue mats continuously throughout 8 hour day. 8 Frequent reaching below waist and below shoulder level. 9 Continuous to frequent (depending on certain press stations) wrist motions and gripping. 10 Depending on press, pallet jack will be utilized to remove finalized product.
